Del Conca’s tiles under the spotlight in Shanghai
Saturday, 5 June 2010
Del Conca’s tiles have been chosen to enliven both the public and private areas of the Republic of San Marino Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo 2010, the first global exhibition focused on the urban theme and the different approach to the human habitat: Better city, better life, in other words quality of life in an urban environment. The main topic will revolve around urban planning and sustainable development in new urban areas, but it will also cover how to perform urban redevelopment in existing cities. The discussion is based on the premise that for the past century up until now the urban population has grown from 2% to 50%, with the likelihood of reaching 55% in the year 2010.
Top of the line products by quality and technology have been chosen among Del Conca’s product lines for use at the San Marino’s Pavilion: Pietra Regia for the main hall and Witaly and On Line for the reception area and restrooms.

Del Conca’s involvement in art and sport
Friday, 30 April 2010
Through the Foundation Cino Muraloni, which has been part of the Group since 1992, Del Conca is actively involved in cultural and philanthropic social activities; a participation rooted in its long held belief that dedicating human and financial resources to initiatives that – while promoting the company brand – can simultaneously generate beneficial returns for the community and the territory, is well worth the effort. True to this policy, Del Conca has chosen to become sponsor and supporter of the exhibition “Monet, Cézanne, Renoir and other art tales from France”, a big event that will bring colour to the autumn-winter season in San Marino. Twenty-five paintings capable of summoning back the “glorious years” of art history that made Paris and France a point of reference for the world. The exhibition, opening on October 23rd, 2010 and ending on March 27th , 2011, was planned as the complementary portion of another great art event in the Rimini area: one that will take place simultaneously in Castel Sismondo, titled “Paris, the glorious years. Impressionism vs. Salon”.

Ceramic floors and ThermaTiles: the new Del Conca tiles
Friday, 23 October 2009Ceramic floors are ready to surpise you with a new amazing tile from Del Conca. It’s called Zelo5 and it’s only 5 millimeter thin. This tile for ceramic floors is in fact so thin that can be laid without even removing existing surfaces, old doors and windows, cutting renovation costs by 50-60%. This doesn’t even take into account the savings in time, the greater convenience and the environmental benefits arising from the lack of debris. The extremely reduced thickness of the stoneware, which in no way a ects its quality and resistance, makes this tile an excellent thermal conductor when it comes down to ceramic floors. It is especially suited for use in conjunction with ThermaTile floor or wall heating.
THERMATILE: WHAT IS IT? It is an innovative mesh just 4 millimeters thick for radiant heating with carbon fiber heating elements that are able to give o heat immediately, with a better performance than the majority of materials traditionally used. Placed directly beneath the tiles, when required it generates fantastic warmth. No heaters, water or other fluids, fuel or gas are required. It can be installed in any kind of room and boasts a thickness that is by far less than any other system. The carbon fiber, which makes its reduced thickness possible, is placed on a layer of insulating material and arranged in coils on the support mesh. WHERE IS IT INSTALLED? Between the floor slab or existing flooring and the new Zelo5 flooring.
